Roof Repair Smedway built its Commercial Roofing division around one idea: homeowners in Selden deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders across Selden, NY, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
Licensing and insurance aren't a line item we mention once and forget — we keep documentation current and available on request, because a homeowner signing off on a Commercial Roofing project deserves proof, not a promise.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Commercial Roofing teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Verified licensing across Selden, NY with documentation available on request.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
Every estimate is itemized in writing so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Faster arrival times because the truck was already nearby.
Most roof failures don't happen overnight — they build quietly for months before a homeowner notices the ceiling stain that finally forces the issue.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Cupped shingles trap moisture underneath instead of shedding it, accelerating rot in the decking below.
Visible light through the roof deck is a direct sign the barrier between your attic and the weather has been compromised.
A yellow-brown ring spreading across a ceiling almost always traces back to a roof leak, even if the leak point is several feet away from the stain.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
Not every roof problem calls for the same fix, which is why we scope each job individually instead of running every call through one generic estimate.
When high wind or hail peels back a section of roofing, our on-call crew tarps the exposed area to stop active water intrusion before it reaches the decking, then schedules the permanent repair.
Every residential estimate walks the homeowner through material options, from standard architectural shingles to impact-rated upgrades.
Flat and low-slope commercial roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water issues before they become structural.
Old, layered shingle systems often need a full tear-off rather than an overlay, and we'll tell you honestly which one your roof actually needs.
Scheduled maintenance visits catch loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them into an emergency call.
If a roof has an unusual pitch, an older material system, or a custom architectural feature, our senior crews handle the scoping personally.
Calls placed after hours still reach an on-call line for anything urgent.
A technician walks the roof, checks the attic side when accessible, and documents the damage with photos.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
Warranty documentation is provided on completion for both materials and labor.
Response windows are communicated upfront, not left as a vague "sometime this week."
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Certifications are kept current so warranty coverage on materials stays valid when we install them.
If something about the finished work doesn't meet the agreed scope, we come back and make it right.
Storm-damage jobs come with photo documentation formatted for insurance adjusters, saving homeowners a step in the claims process.
Our technicians explain the reasoning behind every recommendation so you're deciding with full information, not a sales script.
Every Commercial Roofing project closes with a written warranty covering our labor, separate from whatever coverage the shingle or membrane manufacturer already provides.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
Our Selden coverage area extends across Selden, NY, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
If a storm system moves through Selden, NY and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
